Member News

The Eckhart Public Library suffered significant fire damage to the main library facility and collection over the weekend. (Local news report available here.) Fortunately, no one was injured, but there’s a lot of work ahead before things will be back to normal. Consortium admin is working with the library to make sure that their patrons can still get access to consortium holdings while the library undergoes repairs and rebuilds the collection. We will also assist with discovery of remotely owned materials which may have been damaged. I’ve started hearing from area libraries that want to provide additional aid and access. Thank you for your enthusiasm and patience, and I’ll let you know what we can do on the automated side of things versus what you’ll need to coordinate locally.
