Transiting Videodisc Update


Approximately 60% of the shipping cases have been delivered to the pilot libraries, and collection conversion is starting! In less than a week and as of this morning, over 26,000 dvds and blu-rays have been updated with the new circ mods and almost 400 videodisc hold transits captured!

Deadlines

  • The 2017 Evergreen Indiana Annual Conference will be held on March 31, 2017 at the Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park Garrison. The final schedule has been posted on the Conference page. Registration closes tomorrow (March 23, 2017)! Please register now!
  • Executive and subcommittee ballots are due by May 12, 2017.
  • The 2017 Bylaws amendment votes are due by May 31, 2017.
  • The 2017 Ethics Audit closes on August 1, 2017.

Committee News

The Patron Services Committee met on March 21, 2017 at 10am at Greenwood Public Library. Subjects under discussion included the training manual, materials processing standards, an update to the patron account expiration notice, transit of damaged materials, and the pest procedures. The meeting was recorded and may be reviewed on YouTube.

The Executive Committee will hold their next meeting at the Evergreen Indiana Annual Conference. All interested staff are invited to attend.

Migration News

The New Castle-Henry County Public Library go live has been scheduled for May 3, 2017. There will be a modified cataloging freeze May 1-3, 2017 associated with this migration. Area libraries are invited to participate at the go-live!
