Committee News
The Patron Services Committee met at Greenwood Public Library on June 21, 2016. The meeting was recorded and may be viewed online.
eIDC News
Due to the overwhelming number of recommendations being received by some eIDC libraries, the eIDC Advisory group has voted that the Recommend to Library feature be limited to 1 request per week per patron. This will be implemented on July 1, 2016.
Migration News
- The Eckhart Public Library and Garrett Public Library migrations have been scheduled for August 1, 2016.
- The Orleans Town and Township Public Library migration has been scheduled for August 22, 2016.
Please mark your calendars if you are a neighboring library and wish to send staff! Additional information about cataloging freezes will be released closer to the migrations.
Transit News
Jefferson County Public Library’s Hanover Branch [JFCPLH] will be a separate location for INfoExpress deliveries beginning on July 1, 2016. Please send all transits for that location directly to the branch after that date.
The Indiana State Library will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday, and INfoExpress service will be suspended on Monday, July 4, 2016.
Deadlines
The new library card and barcode pool will open on July 5, 2016 and close on July 11, 2016. If you wish to participate in this pool, please contact Anna for pricing and ordering instructions.
The Cat1 Refresher term for 2015/16 closes on June 30, 2016. Catalogers must complete their refresh training in order to avoid an interruption in cataloging permissions. Please see the Cataloging Listserv for more information.
