Scholarship winners announced!
Congratulations to Sarah Childs (HMMPL) and Jocelyn Lewis (ISL), our 2016 Evergreen International Conference Scholarship recipients! Their applications were unanimously approved by the Executive Committee.
Hoopla Integration Begins
The libraries with hoopla subscriptions will be able to search the Evergreen Indiana catalog for some of that content beginning today! Midwest Tape makes MARC records available for a portion of the hoopla catalog, and we have begun the process of importing them. Not all holdings from hoopla will have a corresponding record in Evergreen Indiana, but we do expect that you’ll see improving circulation as a result of this new automation. For libraries without hoopla, these records will not appear either staff-side or in the OPAC. We hope this will alleviate any confusion about accessibility.
Committee News
The Executive Committee will next meet at 10am on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Indiana State Library.
Committee meetings are open, and libraries are encouraged to send attendees to provide additional feedback.
Migration News
Starke County Public Library will be going live in Evergreen Indiana over April 12-13, 2016. Area libraries that would like to send staff should contact Anna. A modified cataloging freeze will be in place April 8-12. Please watch the listservs for notice to resume normal procedures.
Support Notice
The Indiana State Library will be closed on Friday, March 25, 2016 in observance of the Easter holiday. Please note that there will also be no INfoExpress service on that date.
