Weekly Update— November 18, 2014

The Next 6 Weeks

We have scheduled multiple major system maintenance projects over the next six weeks. Please be sure to have at 1 person per shift at your library subscribed to the Evergreen Support listserv so that you are always up to date with the system status updates.

Beginning next week, in preparation for the December upgrade we plan to release the 2.7 test server for your attention. Information on this testing cycle will be sent out on the Evergreen Support list, and we ask that you please take some time to check out the upgraded system. We had an outstanding test round last winter which allowed us to catch a few bugs, correct a couple of configurations, and discover some new functionalities before the consortium upgraded.

Next week also kicks off the 2014 deduplication project. Beginning at 8pm, November 26, 2014, a full cataloging freeze will be in effect. No changes may be made to item attributes or bibliographic records during a full freeze. Standard circulation functions will not be affected. Catalogers will be notified by Monday, December 1 when they may resume cataloging in the system.
