NE Regional Roundtable 2014
On Thursday, October 2, 2014, more than 30 staff from 17 libraries met in South Whitley, and on Friday, October 3, 2014, the meeting at Greensburg was attended by 25 staff representing 11 libraries. Lively discussions brought many interesting experiences and questions to light! We are delighted to have had the opportunity to hear directly from so many staff and that you were able to join us. A special thanks to South Whitley Community Public Library and Greensburg-Decatur County Contractual Public Library for hosting!

Committee News

The eContent Committee will meet on October 14, 2014 at 10am at the Indiana State Library. We have tentatively secured a vendor presentation for new e-periodical and library marketing products.

The Executive Committee will meet on October 14, 2014 at 1pm at the Indiana State Library.

Linton Public Library welcomes new director Krystal Becker.

Syracuse-Turkey Creek Township Public Library welcomes interim director Gisela Vore.

Our systems administrator is on vacation; thank you for your patience if technical issues take a bit longer than usual to address.

We have identified Thanksgiving weekend as our next planned de-duplication and have tentatively set a FULL cataloging freeze for November 27-30, 2014.

Job News

Syracuse-Turkey Creek Township Public Library is seeking a new director. The job listing is available on the Indiana Library Jobs page.

Migration News

The North Madison County Public Library migration is scheduled for October 17-21, 2014. A modified cataloging freeze is anticipated during that weekend. Further information will be forthcoming as available.

The Royal Center-Boone Township Public Library’s go-live is scheduled for December 2, 2014. There will be no cataloging freeze associated with this migration.
