We have received the shipping boxes and labels for the DVD transit program! We’re getting things sorted out and working on how best to get the boxes to everyone (they’re a bit awkward to ship in bulk as flat pack via INfoExpress). We’ll be dropping them off, handing them over at conference and meetings, and whatever else we can do get them to participating libraries in the coming weeks. Additional information will be released to the Support listserv.

Conference Season is almost here!

Maintenance Update: New Shortnames

We will be updating everyone to the new shortnames on February 28, 2017. We have already coordinated with major vendors that use shortnames for authentication, but if you have local contracts which utilize your shortname, you may need to reach out for an update in your configuration. Since these were approved over a year ago, you may wish to review the list and remind yourself of your new shortname. We are hopeful these new names will significantly alleviate name confusion in future.

NOTE: The links for overdue and lost notices are not changing to reflect the new shortnames, please continue to use the current links. An alternate method of accessing those notices is currently in development and should be available soon.

Membership Fee Rollout

In 2014 an overwhelming majority of the Evergreen Indiana libraries approved a measure which allows us to become more self-supporting. Over the coming months you will begin receiving paperwork and notices so that you can plan and budget for this new program. As a reminder, the Executive Committee has chosen to use a graduated plan for implementation. 2015/16 Rollout Timeline

  • Notices of expected individual library costs will be issued to libraries by April 1, 2015.
  • Libraries should incorporate the costs into their 2016 budget plans.
  • In December, each library will receive an invoice for the appropriate 2016 membership fee.
  • Invoices must be paid by January 31, 2016.
