New Patron Services Committee Members
We’re pleased to announce that the Council has selected the following representatives to serve on the Patron Services Committee for the 2014-2017 term:
Class A (40,000+ residents)
Laura Brzeski, Morgan County Public Library
Class B (10,000-40,000 residents)
Christina Hime, Jackson County Public Library
Portia Kapraun, Monticello-Union Township Public Library
Class C (<10,000 residents)
Celia Bandolier, Roanoke Public Library
Karen Kahl, Union County Public Library
Both sitting and new committee members will be in attendance at the June 17, 2014 Patron Services Committee meeting. We encourage libraries to join us in congratulating our new members and thanking the exiting members for their service: Judi Terpening, Virginia Jensen, Laura Jones, and Karen Jewell.
Bylaws Ballots
We are in the final week of the acceptance period for the Bylaws Amendment ballots. Please send these to the Coordinator or Executive Committee at the Indiana State Library (140 N Senate Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46204) as soon as possible!
Migration News
We have set Danville Center Township Public Library’s go-live for June 3, 2014. A modified cataloging freeze will be in place beginning at 5pm EDT on Friday, May 30 and is will be lifted with notice on June 3, 2014. Please watch the cataloging list for the release notice to be issued. A modified cataloging freeze means that no actions may be taken on bibliographic records. Holdings may be added or edited. No materials or records should be deleted during the freeze.
